EQ Bank, Canada’s Challenger Bank, seeks an Associate for the Commercial Finance Group in Montreal or Toronto. You’ll support underwriting by collecting documents, coordinating with internal and external contacts, and assisting with diligence and reporting.

The role requires thorough documentation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree considered an asset.
• 5+ years’ commercial mortgage administration experience.
• Extensive MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), Cyber Query and PPlus.
• Ability to create ad hoc reports in Excel with data imports for reporting.
• Proven ability to capture and document information thoroughly.
• Creatively solve problems with minimal direction.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely collection of documents for transactions and coordinate with underwriters, originators, partners, brokers, and sponsors.
• Support underwriters with due diligence items: net worth statements, P&S, leases, etc.
