The position requires an individual tomanagecomplex construction, renovation, and portfolio loans. The individual shouldbeclient-focused,a self-starter,with the ability tomake sound underwriting decisions as efficiently as possible. The incumbent shallpossess strong cognitive skills andprofessional judgementupon which they can rely in the ongoing management of their files. The incumbent must also havethe ability to work independently with minimal supervision to properlyidentify and mitigate risks associated withindividual transactionswhile balancing the needs of the client. The incumbent is required to follow corporate policies, procedures and regulatory requirements in order to work through files and rationalize the recommendations or decisions made.Existing accounts are unique in nature andfulsome information is not always available. As such, the incumbent must be comfortable making recommendations based on incomplete information. The incumbent must also be willing and able to invest time in mentoring junior employees, providing advice and knowledge, when needed.
