Job summary

EQ Bank | Canada's Challenger Bank is seeking a Syndication Analyst to support the Commercial Syndicated Lending team. You will handle loan sale documentation, coordinate with originations and credit, and ensure AML compliance across deals with external partners.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to onboard investors and maintain syndicated assets, while contributing to reporting and process improvements. A strong CRE underwriting background and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business or finance is required.
• 2-4 years of lending experience and underwriting proficiency.
• Knowledge of loan syndication principles, planning and tactics.
• Sound knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting and financial statement analysis.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of AML/ATF regulations and corporate documentation for CRE in multiple jurisdictions across Canada.
• Strong organization and time management, ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Syndication Support: manage loan sale docs and support underwriting processes.
• Internal Liaison: work with cross-functional teams to onboard investors and maintain assets.
• Ad Hoc: assist with reporting and process improvements for the Syndicated Lending team.
