Job summary

Aplin is seeking a Commercial Insurance Broker in Edmonton to manage a diverse Alberta book. You will service clients, submit to insurers, and identify opportunities to cross-sell products while building strong carrier relationships.

With 2+ years in commercial insurance and Alberta Level 1 license (Level 2 preferred), you will contribute to a fast-growing national brokerage. The role offers training, benefits, and ongoing career advancement.

Qualifications

• Must hold Alberta Level 1 broker license; Level 2 preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Commercial Insurance Broker.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, policies, and regulations; proactive and innovative.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer service contact in person, by phone, or email.
• Process inquiries and submit information to insurance companies.
• Participate in account reviews, promote additional products, and provide value-added services.
• Prepare submissions, applications, proposals, cover notes, invoices, and correspondence.
• Maintain product knowledge and relationships with insurance partners.
• Market accounts on new business, renewals, and midterm changes.

Exciting opportunity for a Commercial Insurance Broker based in Edmonton to become a part of a nationwide insurance brokerage, work on diverse accounts across Alberta.

They are currently in search of a Commercial Lines Insurance Broker to maintain and grow a book of business with small to medium accounts in various industries.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary customer service contact, handling inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email
• Respond to customer requests, either directly or through the Producer, and submit information to appropriate insurance companies
• Participate in account reviews, promote additional products and services, and provide value-added services to clients
• Prepare submissions, applications, proposals, cover notes, customer correspondence, certificates, and invoices
• Stay updated on product knowledge and build relationships with insurance partners
• Market accounts including new, renewal, and midterm changes

Qualifications

• Must have Level 1 valid broker license in Alberta, Level 2 preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commercial insurance Broker at a brokerage
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, policies, and regulations, and are always looking for creative and innovative solutions
• CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM designation is an asset
