Position: Account Manager (Commercial)

Reporting to: Commercial Sales Manager

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Who We Are: Carrier Enterprise Canada (CEC) is a distributor of residential, light commercial, and applied Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business-to-business environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. CEC offers customers a wide range of HVAC/R product lines, competitive pricing, best-in-class customer service and valuable, time-saving services that positions CEC as an industry leader. With 36 locations in Canada and over 150+ locations, in 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, there is a location to service our customers HVAC/R needs.

We are currently accepting internal and external applications for the Account Manager, Commercial.

The Opportunity

  • Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, the Account Manager promotes and sells commercial equipment to an existing account base while actively prospecting for new customers, to drive sustainable and profitable business growth.
  • Understanding the customer’s business needs, the Account Manager seeks to collaborate with Consulting Engineers to secure favorable specifications of Carrier products, resulting in commercial equipment sales.
  • Utilizing your exemplary customer service acumen, you will assist in designing projects through equipment selections and specification writing, so that Carrier commercial equipment becomes the choice of Engineers and Contractors.
  • With strong interpersonal skills, you build collaborative relationships with service and installation contractors, to drive commercial equipment sales.
  • A self-starter, with accomplished communication and presentation skills, you will cultivate new business, while expanding equipment offering to an existing customer base that further builds solid business relationships.
  • Proven negotiation skills and sales ability to implement marketing and business strategies to achieve sales plans, promote new programs and products and keep customers abreast of product updates.
  • Actively participate in industry associations and events to learn new strategies and trends.

Skills and Behaviors

  • A proven track record in technical HVAC/R sales experience
  • A degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
  • DDC Controls experience is an asset
  • Highly motivated and independent with a strong desire to succeed in sales
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to solve problems using both logic and creative approaches
  • An organized individual with the ability to prioritize, plan and work to deadlines
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
