Collections Specialist (12 month contract)

Overview

What You Will Do

• Manage client accounts daily, including reconciliation, collection calls, dispute identification, and resolution.
• Locate and notify clients of past due balances via telephone, email, or mail.
• Respond to internal and external client account inquiries.
• Collaborate with departments to research outstanding balances and resolve client issues.
• Communicate key A/R information to management.
• Work with partners, managers, and administrative staff to improve billings and collections.
• Identify and escalate client issues appropriately.
• Maintain detailed notes on collection activities and follow-ups.
• Produce adhoc A/R reports as requested.
• Ensure customer information accuracy.
• Set up repayment plans based on clients' financial situations.
• Prepare and provide client account statements as needed.
• Implement collection processes professionally to maximize recovery and minimize debt.
• Work with Billing Specialist to reduce Lock Up Days according to agreed terms.

What You Bring To The Role

• College diploma; finance or accounting diploma preferred.
• At least 3 years of professional collections experience.
• Strong communication skills—presentation, written, and verbal—effective at all organizational levels.
