Sysco is seeking a Meat, Seafood, Poultry Packer in Toronto to support production by assembling and packaging products to spec while maximizing yields. You will operate equipment, assist startup operations, and maintain safety, sanitation, and documentation throughout shifts.

The role requires 0–1 years in food processing, ability to work in a cooler, and strong attention to safety and quality. Training, benefits, and a fast-paced team environment are offered.

Competenze

• 1+ years’ food processing in a cold/freezer environment.
• Lead by example in safety, quality, efficiency, and compliance.
• Math skills to calculate production specifications (weight, yield tests).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Ability to work in a cooler environment.

Mansioni

• Assemble and package products to specification while maximizing yields and minimizing loss.
• Assemble, disassemble, and operate processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with production startup operations as required.
• Complete end-of-shift activities: table clean down, product handling, WIP documentation, line shutdowns.
• Maintain efficiency standards and document production yields and traceability.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and parts through production and shutdowns.
• Ensure all equipment is safe to operate and report hazards or malfunctions.
• Maintain housekeeping and overall plant cleanliness.
• Comply with Health & Safety policies, OHSA, Food Safety, and HACCP regulations.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., pallet jack / walkie operator).
