Job summary

Battlefords Residential Services Inc. is seeking a Co-ordinator of Program Services for a full-time role.

You will coordinate and supervise residential and day program services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, applying developmental programs with a focus on learning and behavior. The position requires strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to work with staff and families to implement programs and assess progress.

Qualifications

  • Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Experience and/or formal training in design, application and supervision of developmental programs is preferred.
  • CPR & First Aid certification and valid driver’s license are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise program services for individuals with disabilities.
  • Apply and supervise developmental programs with attention to learning and behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and families to support goals and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards in behavioral programs and maintain records.

BRSI is a non‑profit, community‑based organization that provides residential, day program and support services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Co‑ordinator of Program Services

This is a full‑time position.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles of learning and behavior
  • Knowledge of ethical standards for the application of behavioral programs
  • Knowledge of a variety of functional and adaptive behavior and behavioral assessments
  • Knowledge of major trends and concepts within the field of intellectual disabilities
  • Experience and/or formal training in the design, application and supervision of developmental programs
  • Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Instructional and supervisory skills and decision‑making ability
  • Ability to work independently with individuals and with groups
  • Health‑care related experience would be an asset
  • Valid driver’s license
  • CPR & First Aid certification
  • A criminal record check with vulnerable sector is required
Education

Preference will be given to applicants who possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (or other related discipline) with an emphasis in learning and behavioral psychology, or an equivalent combination of experience and formal training, including CLD Level II and III.
