Job summary

Crowe MacKay in Kelowna is recruiting 2-3 Co-op Students for September 2027 starts (4 or 8 month terms). The role includes preparing financial statements, tax returns, and assisting in year-ends under supervision. You will gain practical experience and mentorship as you work toward your CPA designation.

You should be an accounting student with strong communication, time management, and a willingness to learn, and be prepared to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing CPA-eligible undergraduate degree (BCom/BBA preferred).
  • Strong communication and client service skills required.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail essential.
  • Willingness to learn and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and supporting documents.
  • Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns and related filings and schedules.
  • Assist in corporate year-ends including compilation, review, and audit engagements.
  • Meet deadlines as assigned by partners or senior staff accountants.
  • Participate in education, training and professional development programs.
  • Be prepared to work hard and have fun.
  • Work independently and in a team under leadership guidance.
  • Completion of ad-hoc administrative duties as required.

We are recruiting 2-3 Co-op Students (September 2027 starts / 4 or 8 Month terms) to join our Kelowna office.

The Role
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting documents.
  • Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns, including related filings and schedules.
  • Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of corporate year ends, which includes compilation, review, and audit engagements.
  • Meet deadlines as assigned by the partners or senior staff accountants.
  • Participate in education, training and professional development programs.
  • Be prepared to work hard and have fun.
  • Work independently and in a team environment under the direction of the leadership.
  • Basic understanding of various software programs, including Sage 50, CaseWare , QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office is a definite asset.
  • Completion of additional ad-hoc administrative duties or assignments as required.
