Job summary

Crowe MacKay in Calgary is recruiting full-time Articling Students for January 2027 and September 2027 to begin their accounting careers. You will prepare financial statements, tax returns, and support year-end engagements while meeting strict deadlines under the guidance of partners and senior staff.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a university or college student expected to complete an undergraduate degree (BCom/BBA preferred) before start date.
  • Meets CPA prerequisites for the Professional Education Program.
  • Excellent communication, time management and client service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Willing to learn and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and supporting documents.
  • Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns, including related filings and schedules.
  • Prepare and/or assist in corporate year ends, including compilation, review, and audit engagements.
  • Meet deadlines as assigned by partners or senior staff accountants.
  • Participate in education, training and professional development programs.
  • Be prepared to work hard and have fun.
  • Work independently and in a team environment under leadership.
  • Basic understanding of Sage 50, CaseWare, QuickBooks, and MS Office is a definite asset.
  • Completion of additional ad-hoc administrative duties or assignments as required.

We are recruiting Full-Time Articling Students (January 2027 & September 2027) to join our Calgary office.

The Role
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting documents.
  • Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns, including related filings and schedules.
