Job summary

Spectrum Resource Group, a Wright Canada Holdings unit, is seeking a Co-Op Student/Partnership for a seasonal opportunity in environmental services and vegetation management. You will support assigned department(s) on projects, collaborate with teams, and gain exposure to multiple roles within the company.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a career in environmental services, may have a Driver's License, First Aid certification is a plus, and possess strong English communication.

Qualifications

  • Interest in environmental services or vegetation management.
  • Driver's license is an asset.
  • First Aid certification is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team across locations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong reading/writing/speaking English.

The Position: Co-Op Student/ Partnership

Type: Seasonal

Reports To: Supervisor

Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour, based on relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to assigned department(s) on various projects.
  • Collaborate with other teams to complete tasks and develop solutions.

Experience and Knowledge Expectations:
  • Career interest in the assigned department(s), or in the environmental services or vegetation management industries.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a current Driver's Abstract would be considered an asset.
  • Must currently possess, or be willing to obtain, Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification, or equivalent, is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work with a team of cross-functional experts in multiple locations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products utilizing the latest operating system.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service focusing on rapport-building, listening, questioning and patience.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast paced, and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
