The City of Mississauga is seeking a Co‑Op Student - Application Developer to assist with developing and maintaining web applications using .NET technologies. You will gain hands‑on experience with cloud technologies, APIs, databases, and DevOps practices while contributing to enhancements, testing, and documentation.

The role involves working with ASP.NET Core MVC, legacy .NET Framework MVC, and modern UI ideas like Lit Components, with exposure to AWS ECS/ECR and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a recognized post‑secondary co‑op program and eligible to complete a Work Term during the specified period.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to upload proof of enrolment when applying.
• Experience with web development using .NET technologies and modern UI frameworks is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and maintaining web applications using ASP.NET Core MVC / .NET Core.
• Support and maintain legacy .NET Framework MVC applications.
• Build and improve modern user interfaces using Lit Components and modern UI frameworks.
• Assist with developing REST APIs and database‑driven applications.
• Gain hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS and ECR.
• Use Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, and development workflows.
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and application improvements.
