Job summary

Multimatic in Ontario is seeking a co-op software developer to collaborate with stakeholders, document software requirements, and design scalable architectures. You will write clean code in Java, Python, C#, and JavaScript, perform tests,deploy to production, and maintain applications while addressing user issues.

The role requires current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program, experience in software development, and knowledge of networking protocols.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in a related field.
• Relevant experience in software development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, 802.11, QoS).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytic tools.
• Familiarity with database technologies like SQL, MySQL.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and document software requirements.
• Designing scalable, secure application architecture.
• Writing clean, efficient code in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript.
• Performing unit, integration, and system testing to identify and resolve bugs.
• Deploying applications to production environments.
• Providing ongoing maintenance and resolving production issues.
• Creating clear and concise technical documentation.
• Monitoring application performance and identifying areas for improvement.
