Job summary

Sentient HR is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) for the CASA program at Oakville locations. You will guide and teach children from infant to school age, ensuring safety and nurturing development.

Responsibilities include planning developmentally appropriate activities, documenting progress, communicating with parents and teammates, and upholding CCEYA and public health standards. Must have an ECE Diploma, be in good standing, and hold valid First Aid/CPR-C.

Qualifications

• ECE Diploma from a recognized Ontario college.
• In good standing with the College of ECEs.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check within the last 6 months.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C.
• Familiarity with HDLH, AQI, and CCEYA.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill the lead teacher’s program and daily activities; if no plan exists, create and implement a developmentally appropriate program.
• Promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual well-being of children.
• Provide supervision and prioritize the safety of children; understand and comply with CCEYA, public health, and Sentient HR policies.
• Facilitate and participate with children in planned activities.
• Maintain and complete comprehensive documentation of children’s development and interactions.
• Report issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with centre procedures.
• Foster positive relationships and develop rapport through effective communication with peers.
• Work cooperatively as a team member and maintain a positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
