Job summary

Avonhurst Co-op seeks a General Manager (GM) located in Avonhurst, SK. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the GM will oversee all aspects of business, strategy, budgeting, and daily retail operations to support the community and member-owners.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in retail leadership, with 3–5 years leading staff, strong business insight, and a commitment to continuous learning. A Grade 12 diploma is preferred, Class 1 license is an asset.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in retail store operations.
• 3-5 years leading people within the retail industry; Co-op experience is a plus.
• Strong business insight and organizational savvy.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of the Co-op's business in collaboration with the Board.
• Lead operating and capital budgeting and ensure budget adherence.
• Oversee daily retail operations and optimize processes for results.
• Provide leadership to foster a positive, productive team environment.
• Build and maintain relationships with members, customers and the community.
