Job summary

Nova Scotia Power in Halifax is seeking an Engineering (ECEI) Co-op for Winter 2027 to support the ECEI Project Controls Team on major clean energy infrastructure projects. You'll contribute to planning, monitoring, coordination, and delivery of capital projects while collaborating with project managers, engineers, construction teams, contractors and controls professionals.

You'll gain hands-on experience in project reporting, data analysis, document management, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or related).
• Eligible to complete a co-op work term in Winter 2027.
• Experience with engineering projects, project management, planning, scheduling, or data analysis is an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of records management, data governance, and revision control is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Information Management Lead in implementing information management methodologies, templates, and tools for the ECEI Intertie Project.
• Assist in delivering processes that manage electronic and physical project documentation.
• Support compliance with Information Management Procedures among internal and external participants.
• Liaise with internal/external submitters to facilitate document review and processing.
• Generate outgoing transmittals and support RFIs, RFPs, correspondence, and quality reports.
• Maintain document logs, registers, and project databases with current, accurate records.
• Review contractor/supplier documentation for compliance and assist with master document/supplier registers.
• Assist with Electronic Document Management Systems administration (Adept, ACC Forma, SharePoint).
• Provide support for additional project-related activities as required.
