Job summary

EnerSys in Burnaby, BC seeks an Electrical Test Engineering Co-op to support ATE development and manufacturing test activities. You will work with the test engineering team, design custom test equipment, and test power electronics in a hands-on environment.

Ideal candidates hold a BSc/MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field, have LabVIEW experience, and are familiar with NI equipment. This is a temporary, full-time coop position based in Burnaby.

Qualifications

• BSc/ MSc/ PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience with power electronics testing in manufacturing environments.
• LabVIEW programming and object-oriented programming required.
• Familiar with NI equipment and lab tools.
• Experience in PCB design using Altium Designer or similar.

Responsibilities

• Test PCBs of power supplies and converters.
• Design and build custom test equipment and software.
• Support ATE development and manufacturing testing.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers on test processes.
• Create system schematics for ATE systems.
• Conduct various tests (functional, burn-in, HALT, reliability).
• Maintain test equipment and software systems; document procedures.
• Coordinate cross-functional test documentation and 5S activities.
