Job summary

S&C Electric Canada Ltd. is seeking a Technical Sales Associate (Co-op) in a hybrid setting in Toronto, Winter 2027. The four-month term offers hands-on experience, client interaction, and exposure to protection engineering.

The role involves learning protection for HV systems, preparing quotations, and assisting with orders while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Eligible co-ops gain practical exposure to electrical engineering concepts and customer-facing activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a post-secondary degree in Electrical engineering and eligible for a 4-month co-op term.
• Able to understand electrical schematics and specifications.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal clients by telephone, written communication, or in person.
• Perform basic electrical engineering calculations including fault current analysis and fuse coordination.
• Learn protection for substation transformers, busses and feeders.
• Assist with high-voltage protection projects in collaboration with team.
• Develop single line diagrams for high-voltage utility and industrial customers.
• Summarize transmission and distribution level protection specifications and apply protection devices.
• Other duties as assigned.
