Co-op Business Development Representative

Applicants must be students enrolled in a co-op program at a post-secondary institution in Canada.

Job Description:

Our group is seeking self-motivated and energetic individuals interested in sales, business, and finance. This position offers students the opportunity to learn about sales within a growing business and gain insight into the role of a modern financial advisor.

We pride ourselves on transparency and honesty, which has helped us succeed as a modern firm in an industry often characterized by outdated strategies.

As a Business Development Representative, you will collaborate with Senior Advisors who handle diverse clients with various financial needs, requiring tailored financial plans. This role is ideal for gaining experience in sales, finance, and business.

You will primarily spend your time on the phone, engaging with business owners and corporate executives who may need financial assistance. This position is sales-focused and based in our Oakville office.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform outgoing sales calls (cold and warm) to identify and qualify potential clients.
  • Spend approximately 90% of your time on the phone, developing your communication skills with prospects.
  • Organize and maintain a database of prospects and clients.
  • Contact prospects to share information about investment products.
  • Assist with the client onboarding process.
  • Research and analyze investment options.

  • Ability to follow guidelines and instructions.
