The position emphasizes partnership with management, community involvement, and progressive development toward Store Manager. Primary location is St. John’s, NL, with a pay range based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management and sales forecasts.
• Analyzes and utilizes sales/financial reports, economic trends and community needs to identify and respond to market changes while controlling expenditures.
• Communicates sales results to associates and guides interpretation of results.
• Creates, with the Store Manager, operational plans; delegates and provides direction to Managers and Associates; ensures optimal store conditions and pricing.
• Executes asset protection and safety controls; oversees safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Serves Customers as an ambassador, resolves issues to create a positive shopping experience; models friendly customer service approaches.
• Supports community initiatives and relationships with community groups; participates in company programs and sustainability efforts.
• Leads and develops Assistant Managers; supports progression to Store Manager; provides training and development.
• Adapts to digital applications in the store and trains management on OMNI processes.
