Job summary

Jarlette Health Services currently seeks a Co-Culinary Manager for Southampton, Ontario. This newly created, on-site role (15 hours per week) reports to the Culinary Manager and oversees daily food service operations, staff supervision, inventory, and safety compliance within a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate has CSNM membership, nutrition education, and at least 2 years in a management food service role, with strong leadership and knowledge of healthcare dietary standards.

Qualifications

• CSNM membership required.
• Education in Nutrition, Dietetics and/or Food and Nutrition Management.
• Experience in long-term care dietary with quantity food production and menu planning.
• Minimum 2 years in a food service management role.
• General knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Proven leadership abilities supervising staff and labour relations.
• Strong health & safety, infection control and sanitation knowledge in healthcare.
• Familiarity with LTCH Act 2021, Ontario Reg. 246/22, OHSA, ESA, Human Rights Code.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily Food Services operations.
• Lead staff training, performance evaluation and coaching.
• Develop dietary education materials and in-service programs.
• Conduct daily kitchen/serveries inspections for safety and cleanliness.
• Oversee menu changes and nutrition planning with Culinary Manager.
• Manage ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure resident profiles and RD reports are up to date.
• Participate in Resident Food Committee meetings.
