Job summary

Westinghouse is seeking a CNC Programmer for our Peterborough, Ontario facility to develop and optimize CNC programs for Mazak machines using Mastercam. You will support milling, turning and multi-axis work, improving cycle times, setup efficiency and part quality.

You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and contribute during machine setup, prove-out and first-piece validation, resolving programming, tooling and machining issues while ensuring GD&T compliance and robust tooling choices.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Machining, Tool and Die, or an equivalent field.
• Advanced proficiency using Mastercam for milling, turning and multi-axis machining.
• Experience programming Mazak equipment using Mazatrol and G-code.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T requirements and 3D models.

About The Role

As a CNC Programmer, you will develop, optimize and maintain CNC machining programs for Mazak machine tools using Mastercam software. Your work will support milling, turning and multi-axis machining while improving cycle times, setup efficiency and product quality. You will also provide hands‑on support during machine setup, program prove-out and first-piece validation while resolving programming, tooling and machining issues.

You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and assigned to our Peterborough, Ontario, Canada facility. This is an onsite position.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $67,500 to $84,250 per year.
