Job summary

Protechautowhitby in Brampton, Canada, is hiring a CNC Milling setup/operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in CNC milling, setup, and programming with Fanuc controls. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, run first-offs, and inspect parts with micrometers and calipers.

Mastercam experience is essential, and strong teamwork and communication are required. Pay ranges from CAD 24.00 to 28.00 per hour for full-time, in-person work.

We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling setup/operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and setup, with proficiency in operating and programming CNC MIlling. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to read blueprints, ensuring precision and quality in all manufactured parts.

Responsibilities

• CNC Milling Setup/Operator with minimum 2 years experience.
• Experience with machine set-up/modifying programs/programming (Fanuc control)
• G-code and M-code interpretation
• Custom job shop experience would be considered an asset
• Familiarity with Mastercam is essential.
• Good communication skills
• Someone who is highly motivated and a team player
• Machining parts from Steel, Tool Steel, Aluminum etc.
• Setup tooling and setup parts for first off
• Using micrometers and calipers to check machined parts
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
• Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances accurately.

Pay rate $20-$25 depending on skills
