Job summary

Universal Precision Technology in Ontario is seeking skilled CNC machinists to join our precision manufacturing team. You will interpret technical drawings, set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and EDM machines, and ensure tooling and fixtures are correct.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and production to troubleshoot and improve processes, with competitive wages and benefits including health and dental insurance and Deferred Profit Share Program (DPSP).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in CNC programming languages and CAD software.

Roles & Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to create accurate machining specifications
• Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place, when needed
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance, when needed
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating Mills, Lathes, and EDM machines
• Required experience of a minimum of 5 years of CNC
• Proficient in CNC programming languages, familiarity with CAD software for designing machining programs (Mastercam, Hypermill, & Esprit)
