Job summary

Universal Precision Technology seeks a skilled maintenance professional to service CNC Mills, Lathe and EDM equipment at our Stoney Creek facility. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend machine life.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong attention to detail, and clear communication. On-site parking and competitive benefits are provided in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand safety responsibilities such as hazard identification, and perform equipment lockout and emergency response.
• Inspect, repair, troubleshoot and diagnose machinery primarily CNC Mills, Lathe and EDM machines.
• Communicate/escalate maintenance concerns to the Shop Supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and costs, and manage equipment efficiencies.

Roles & Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Understand safety responsibilities such as hazard identification, and perform equipment lockout and emergency response
• Inspect / repair, troubleshooting and diagnosing machinery primarily CNC Mills, Lathe and EDM machines, such as DMG, GF, HAAS, Mori-Seiki, Okuma, Parpas, etc.
• Communicate/escalate all maintenance concerns/challenges to the Shop Supervisor
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures, to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and manage equipment efficiencies

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment
• Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
