IS2 in Barrie is seeking a skilled Machinist II to join a growing manufacturing team. The role centers on CNC set-ups and operating mills, lathes, laser cutters, and other equipment to produce parts per drawings.

You will read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, adjust offsets, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• 3 to 5 years of CNC machining or machine set-up experience.
• Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments, including: Micrometers; Bore gauges; Height gauges; Combination squares
• Ability to safely operate multiple types of machining equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Good math, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting
• Experience with HAAS CNC equipment is considered an asset
• Willingness to work overtime when required

Responsabilidades

• Independently perform machine set-ups on CNC equipment
• Operate and monitor CNC mills, lathes, saws, laser cutters, rolling machines, and other machining equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances
• Manufacture parts according to work instructions and specifications
• Inspect and verify finished parts using precision measuring tools
• Adjust machine offsets and make minor program modifications as required
• Identify quality issues and work with supervisors to resolve concerns
• Support and assist with training team members when required
• Participate in workplace organization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Complete other duties as assigned
