Job summary

National Carwash Solutions in Barrie, Ontario is seeking a Machinist Level I or II (Days/Afternoons) on a fixed-term contract. You will support machining operations by setting up CNC mills and safely operating machines under supervision, reading blueprints, and measuring parts to spec.

You will work on multiple machines, develop precision skills with micrometers and gauges, participate in training, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding OHSA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Knowledge of G & M Codes.
• Ability to safely operate at least two types of equipment (mill, lathe, saw, laser cutter, rolling machine).
• HAAS CNC mills experience is an asset.
• Ability to read blueprints and verify tolerances.
• Strong math and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Measure parts against blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up CNC equipment and run programs under supervision.
• Operate CNC mills, lathes, laser cutters, or related machines safely.
• Produce parts per work instructions.
• Identify and adjust machine offsets to maintain accuracy.
• Train others on coolant use and basic safety.
• Read G-code and perform minor adjustments.
• Suggest improvements for 6S programs.
• Comply with OHSA, ESA and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
