Join to apply for the CNC Machine Operator role at EQI Ltd.

The CNC Machine Operator role is responsible for producing parts in accordance with supplied drawings and specifications.

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Operate CNC mills equipment.
2. Perform machining tasks using milling machines and sometimes lathes.
3. Load and unload parts onto the machine table.
4. Machine parts to specifications.
5. Machine individual weldments, including drilling, tapping holes, and milling on parts.
6. Verify conformance of parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, and fixed gauges; fill out inspection reports as required.
7. Check workpieces to ensure they are properly lubricated or cooled.
8. Clean machined parts for assembly.
9. Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
10. Detect equipment malfunctions and report to supervisor.
11. Participate in continuous improvement activities related to the machine and/or machining process.
12. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education Level

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Computer Skills

• Experience in using computers.
• ERP experience is an asset.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience using mills or CNC machines.
• Good working knowledge of tools, blueprints, and drawings.
• Set-up and programming skills are assets but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs repetitively, comfortably, and safely.
• Highly punctual.
• Able to work as a functioning member of a team.
• Safety-conscious individual.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively and efficiently.
• Knowledge of production quality standards; work experience in an ISO-certified environment is an asset.
