Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Presta AG in Port Coquitlam, Canada, is seeking a CNC Press Operator or CNC Punch Press Operator to support expanding production. You will program, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC brake/punch press operations and handle a wide variety of parts and bends.

Ideal candidates will have strong brake/punch press experience, the ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T, and be comfortable working on 2nd or 3rd shift (4 day x 10 hrs).

Qualifications

• 2nd or 3rd shift availability (4 day x 10 hrs)
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read/write and perform basic math
• Solid experience in brake or punch
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Program, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC brake/punch press operations
• Execute complex sequences for tight-tolerance sheet metal and copper bus bar parts
• Select, configure, and align tooling, verifying bend allowances
• Produce and validate first-article components per drawings and GD&T specs
• Document program changes and tooling adjustments for production traceability
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measurement tools
• Interprete engineering drawings, including GD&T
• Maintain brake press tooling and assist with machine upkeep
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
• Train others when required
