Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions seeks an experienced CNC 5-axis Setter Operator for a permanent, full-time role in Woodbridge, Ontario. The position requires setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machinery, reading technical drawings, and performing in-process quality checks on high-precision components.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in a precision machine shop, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in a precision manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of relevant CNC machining experience preferred, ideally within aerospace, defence, nuclear or medical device manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with CNC 5-axis machines strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, unload and operate CNC 5-axis machining equipment.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure components meet production requirements.
• Perform visual inspections and dimensional quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
• Read and follow work instructions, technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Identify and report machining or quality concerns.
• Clean and prepare machined components as required.
• Maintain CNC machinery and surrounding work areas according to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Work collaboratively with machinists, supervisors and quality personnel.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on CNC machining experience who enjoys working with advanced equipment and manufacturing complex, high-precision components for the aerospace, defence, nuclear and medical industries.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a precision machine shop, strong attention to detail and the ability to operate CNC equipment while maintaining strict quality standards.

Security Clearance Requirement: Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and be able to complete required background and security screening.
