The successful candidate will have experience in club or community management, strong organizational skills, and be proficient in both French and English. The role offers a hybrid work model, with potential for off-season remote work.

Location: Brome Lake Boating Club (221 ch. Lakeside, Brome Lake, QC) –on site full-time seasonally; remote work possible for off-season work.
Expected Start Date: April 2026 (possibility for earlier part-time work).

The Brome Lake Boating Club (BLBC) was founded in 1901, making the BLBC the second-oldest sporting Club in the Eastern Townships. The original 1901 mandate stipulated “an association or club was to be formed with a view to recreation, instruction, and amusement, such as rowing, paddling, sailing, and racing of small craft, and for the mutual recreation, instruction and amusement of the members of the association under the name of the Brome Lake Boating Club”.
Reporting to the BLBC Executive Director with secondary oversight from the President of the Board of Directors and collaborating with other Board members, the Club Manager will have the responsibility for directly managing all non-Camp related activities and operational requirements while ensuring the respect of budget guidelines. The Club Manager will oversee the Camp Manager in their duties to ensure that Camp-related activities are also respecting budget guidelines and operational targets.
The Club Manager will also ensure that the workplace is positive, efficient, and secure for employees and offer an enjoyable experience to the members and guests during the summer season. The Club Manager will be the front line of communications with members, potential members, visitors, and suppliers for all requirements during the core operating season, as well as for escalations of camp-related communication with members and guests.
This position requires full-time availability from mid-June to the last week of August, including potential evening and weekend work for key events. The Club Manager (in coordination with the Camp Manager and Assistant Manager) will be expected to work weekends at the Club, and/or find qualified staff to be on site, from Victoria Day weekend to mid-June and from the end of August to mid-October.
The Club Manager role is seasonally full time but has the possibility for part-time work in the off-season. The current Executive Director works part-time in the off-season (remote) and close to full-time during the high season, but with only part-time onsite presence. For the right candidate, the Club Manager role may be a stepping stone to a near-future full-year Executive Director role, with a flexible off-season time commitment. Priority in hiring will be given to a candidate who demonstrates a longer-term commitment to the development of this role and the next steps for the future of the Club.
