Job summary

BC Pension Corporation seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Services Lead in Victoria, BC. You will guide a skilled team, design and deploy secure, scalable cloud solutions, and drive reliability across single-cloud, multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

You will partner with IT Engineering, DevOps and Security to optimize capacity, observability and FinOps while shaping the future of cloud services for the organization and its stakeholders in British Columbia.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, CS, Information Systems or related field.
Experience leading IT professionals.
5+ years managing Azure/OCI cloud infrastructure incl. VMs, storage, networking, IAM, IAC, endpoint management.
3+ years hands-on with cloud observability/monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Azure Monitor).
3+ years FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
Equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the Cloud Infrastructure Services team; set goals and coach staff.
Translate strategy into secure, resilient cloud implementations across single/multi/hybrid environments.
Drive operational excellence: governance, FinOps, observability, capacity planning, cost optimization.
Design, automate and maintain cloud infrastructure using IaC and modern tooling.
Collaborate with IT Engineering, DevOps, Security and vendors to deliver fit-for-purpose services.
