Job summary

FortisBC, located in Surrey, BC, is hiring an Infrastructure Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of core data centre and cloud infrastructure. You will oversee physical compute, virtualization, storage, and cloud integration, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across platforms.

The role requires a 2-year diploma and 8+ years of related experience, with strong project leadership, collaboration with multiple teams, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma in computer/electronics or related field required.
• 8 years related work experience preferred.
• Advanced expertise with infrastructure monitoring and automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of data centre, server, virtualization, storage, cloud technologies and cybersecurity.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior input to infrastructure planning for data centre and cloud platforms.
• Lead execution of IS Infrastructure projects with internal teams and external partners.
• Assist design, implementation, and improvement of hosting platforms and services.
• Respond to infrastructure outages and perform preventive maintenance.
