Job summary

Vena is seeking a Cloud & DevOps Engineer Co-op for a May 2027 start, 12–16 months. Depending on placement, you may work in our Toronto office, hybrid, or fully remote in Ontario, joining the SaaS Technology & Operations team to keep our global SaaS platform running at scale.

You will contribute to DevOps and reliability efforts, assist with automation, collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, and help improve monitoring, security, and deployment practices while gaining

• Currently enrolled in a co-op eligible program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Foundational programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).
• Interest in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or security.
• You love learning new things and being challenged.
• You are self-motivated and self-disciplined.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to automation efforts that improve testing, deployment, or operational reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members on features and implementation within an agile environment.
• Assist with hardening initiatives that improve security, stability, or compliance of cloud environments.
• Help improve monitoring, test coverage, or visibility into platform performance.
• Document processes and findings to help build the team's institutional knowledge.

Description

This is a 12-16 month co-op position starting in May 2027 and can be on-site in our Toronto office, hybrid or entirely remote in Ontario.

We're looking for a motivated co-op student to join Vena's SaaS Technology & Operations (STO) organization for a 12-16 month term. STO keeps our global SaaS platform running for some of the biggest companies in the world, including Nando's, Wells Fargo, and WWF (see what our customers have to say about our platform here). Depending on team placement, you may work alongside teams focused on platform infrastructure, DevOps, quality assurance, or security, getting hand-on exposure to how Vena designs, builds, tests, and operates its infrastructure at scale.

How You'll Make an Impact

• As a Cloud & DevOps Engineer Co-op within our SaaS Technology & Operations organization, you'll contribute to teams focused on Developer Experience, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering
• Contribute to automation efforts that improve testing, deployment, or operational reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members on features and implementation within an agile environment
• Assist with hardening initiatives that improve the security, stability, or compliance posture of our cloud environments
• Help improve monitoring, test coverage, or visibility into how our platform is performing
• Support other team members with their projects and day-to-day tasks
• Document processes and findings to help build the team's institutional knowledge
