Equipment World Inc. is seeking an HR Administrator to join our Thunder Bay team in person. The role supports personnel management, performance evaluations, staffing, training program administration, and compliance with MOL and OHSA guidelines.

Ideal candidates have HR management education, experience in HR, and strong Microsoft Office skills. JHSC certification is preferred. We offer full-time permanent employment with competitive pay and benefits including EHC and RRSP match.

• Oversee personnel management, including employee files and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide performance feedback.
• Assist with staffing requirements by completing the recruitment process
• Manage and track training programs based on regulatory requirements and best practices, including management of apprentice sponsorship.
• Manage and upkeep contractor compliance and related portals
• Lead JHSC and conduct workplace inspections and investigations with any H&S incidents
• Manage all WSIB claims and related concerns
• Promote and ensure employees adhere to all health and safety regulations, including company policies.
• Promote and ensure all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Handle employee complaints and incidents, including conflict resolution, accidents, health and safety concerns, work refusals, and investigations.
• Manage safety data program
• Ensure employee guidelines are in compliance with MOL and Human Rights
• Promote a Healthy, happy work life by assisting with corporate events and building the team

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Education in HR Management
• Experience working in an HR or related field
• Strong ability to work independently
• Knowledge of Employment Standards and OHSA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• JHSC certification is preferred
