The Position: The Clinical Specialist will deliver clinical training, assess product needs, assist in product evaluations and conversions, provide procedural training, conduct in-servicing, and installations. This role requires extensive knowledge of medical devices to keep sales and marketing teams updated on clinical best practices. The position collaborates with the National RES and Atlantic Regional Managers, Territory Managers, and Marketing to develop customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Support product demonstrations in hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities, including post-sales support
  • Coordinate with the sales team to meet goals and budgets
  • Stay informed on medical literature, market trends, and customer needs to identify opportunities
  • Expand the customer base and maintain current customer information

Training and Development

  • Contribute to the growth of the sales team
  • Assist in developing training programs
  • Deliver high-quality clinical training to internal and external customers
  • Present at conferences and tradeshows on PFT topics

Communication

  • Ensure effective and informative communication regarding service or product issues

Administration

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional associations
  • Keep current with clinical best practices and protocols
  • Collaborate on special projects as needed

Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree in Health Sciences, Respiratory Therapy, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of clinical hospital experience
  • Specialized knowledge of medical devices, their use, benefits, and user needs
  • Sales or marketing experience is an asset
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in French is an asset

Essential Duties:

  • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally
  • Travel frequently
  • Lift/move up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral

Working Conditions:

  • Home office/field environment
  • Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience and a satisfactory driving record
  • Criminal and vulnerable sector background check
  • Work hours based on a 37.5-hour week, with additional hours as needed
