Job summary

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Clinical Skills Lab Technician to support daily operations of the CSSL in the School of Nursing, including lab setup, equipment maintenance, and simulation delivery at both Surrey and Point Grey campuses.

You will troubleshoot hardware/software issues, train faculty and student workers, and ensure safe, efficient learning environments for undergraduate and graduate programs. Strong collaboration and technical proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant technical program or a university degree in a related field.
• Minimum three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, maintains, and operates lab equipment and simulators, troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensures labs and simulation rooms are prepared in advance for teaching and research activities.
• Coordinates with course leads and educators to set up furnishings, supplies and equipment.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of CSSL facilities and devices.
• Provides orientation and support to CSSL members and student workers.
