Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in earth science, environmental science, geology, freshwater science, or physical geography.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to respect diverse perspectives and inclusion.
  • Demonstrates commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and take down teaching equipment for undergraduate EESC courses and assist with field excursions.
  • Maintain lab rooms and equipment, stock materials, and provide technical guidance to faculty and teaching assistants.
  • Ensure safe working conditions, follow WHMIS guidelines, and coordinate safety trainings.
  • Prepare reagents, materials, and instruments for labs and field schools, and support student experiential learning.
