Job summary

Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) seeks a provincial Clinical Supervisor to lead the Lab Research Support team at Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. The CS will supervise staff, coordinate clinical trial and research laboratory services, and ensure safety, quality and efficient delivery to clients.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical laboratory.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Demonstrated leadership, project coordination, conflict resolution and/or change management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within their assigned provincial program area.
• Lead staff recruitment, onboarding and training, ensuring safety and standards.
• Manage performance through coaching, evaluation, recognition and corrective action.
• Contribute to policy development, planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor operations and financial performance through data analysis and reporting.
