A leading healthcare provider seeks a clinical pharmacist to join their dynamic team. The role involves conducting medication reviews, managing patient caseloads, and supporting clinical staff to improve health outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a GPhC registered pharmacist, preferably with independent prescribing qualifications, and will benefit from mentorship and professional development opportunities.
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join our pharmacy team at Bretton Park Healthcare. We are a dynamic, motivated, and friendly team passionate about education and development.
The post holder will work as part of the pharmacy team, collaborating closely with the wider practice team and external agencies. Responsibilities include medication safety and conducting medication reviews within the practice.
Ideally, the post holder will be a prescriber or in training to become one, working alongside general practice teams.
Bretton Park Healthcare comprises two practices that have been working together since January 2022. We are a dynamic, motivated, and friendly team committed to innovation and enhancing patient care. We are a registered training practice with an experienced clinical team including Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, and Care Coordinators, supported by a Practice Manager and administrative staff.

Job summary
The clinical pharmacist will work within their professional boundaries, alongside a team of pharmacists in general practice, aiming to improve health outcomes and efficiency through direct patient contact and medication expertise.
The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team, managing medication issues, supporting clinical staff, and achieving qualifications including independent prescribing.
Supervision and mentorship will be provided to support the pharmacist's development.
Primary key responsibilities
The pharmacist's key responsibilities include clinical assessment and treatment, medication reviews, managing complex patient caseloads, supporting long-term condition clinics, and ensuring medication safety and efficacy.
Additional duties involve supporting public health campaigns, participating in clinical governance, and maintaining accurate records, among others.
Secondary responsibilities
Additional tasks may include supporting quality initiatives, prescribing formulary management, and collaborating with community and hospital pharmacists to improve patient care.
