Job summary

NuVista Mental Health in Ottawa - Kanata & City Centre seeks a Clinical Lead Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will practice psychotherapy, psychosocial assessments, and clinical rounds within an outpatient setting as an independent contractor.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD or Masters in Counselling or Clinical Psychology, is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, and can work at least 2 days per week. Private health insurance and admin support are provided.

Qualifications

• Psychologist or Psychological Associate with autonomous or supervised practice.
• PhD or Masters in Counselling or Clinical Psychology.
• Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
• Experience in trauma-related work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Psychotherapy, psychoeducational services and/or psychological assessments.
• Attend clinical rounds and participate in regular clinical meetings.
• Consult with other clinicians daily and manage timely reports.
• Work at least 2 days per week in clinic and maintain professional standards.

We are looking for someone who possesses the following:

• Psychologist or Psychological Associate (autonomous or supervised practice) to provide Psychotherapy, Psychoeducational and/or Psychological Assessments
• PhD or Masters in Counselling or Clinical Psychology
• Has relevant working experience in areas of practice, with an emphasis on trauma-related work
• Able to work at least 2 days per week in clinic
• Able to provide clinical rounds
• Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
• Possesses Professional Liability Insurance or be willing to obtain
• Demonstrates professionalism and effective case management skills (e.g., timely reports)
