Job summary

Unity Health Toronto is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide evidence-based nutrition care across Geriatric & Medical Rehab, Palliative Care, Falls Clinic and Health Discipline Resource Team. Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the College of Dietitians of Ontario in good standing.
• Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Nutrition (or equivalent).
• Completion of an accredited post-graduate internship or practicum in Nutrition (e.g. PMDip, Masters).
• Current BLS (or willingness to complete within probationary period).
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• Proven flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills related to patient care.
• Advocacy, commitment to and involvement with the profession preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, high-quality nutrition care as part of medical treatment.
• Determine the route and composition of nutrition support and evaluate care plans.
• Work with an interprofessional team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Contribute to the academic mandate as an educator or resource for staff and the community.
• Identify and address educational needs for patients and families.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement or research.
• Ensure patient care aligns with professional and organizational standards.
• Commit to anti-oppressive and accessible care for all patients.
