A leading health authority in Victoria is seeking a Dietitian to provide medical nutritional therapy to patients. The role involves managing nutrition care, counseling patients, and collaborating with medical teams to ensure optimal nutrition support. Candidates should have a relevant degree and licensure, along with experience in a medical setting. This position emphasizes patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.

Reports to the Coordinator, Nutrition Services; plans, implements, and evaluates medical nutritional therapy for hospital-based and/or facility-based patients according to established guidelines. Manages nutrition care for patients receiving parenteral nutrition. Instructs and counsels patients and families on nutritional requirements, regimes, and food planning. Provides recommendations to the medical team regarding nutrition support, including enteral vs parenteral, composition, and supplementation, based on current best practices. Contributes to the development of nutrition practice guidelines, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
