Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for our Observation unit in our New Brunswick Facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association

Preferred:

• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• Certified nursing assistant preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift, 36 hours per week (3 days a week), 7a-7:30p, includes every other weekend and holidays.

Essential Functions:

• The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and bedside care (bathing, mouth care, skin care).
• Providing patient care based on physical, educational, safety, and age-appropriate criteria.
• Ensuring effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
• Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding patient care status.
• Participating in the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge for safe transitioning.
