Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking dedicated Clinical Care Technicians for our Medical Surgical IV unit at the New Brunswick campus.

Medical Surgical IV is a 31-bed Oncology Unit for non-oncological cases, with all private rooms. You will encounter a variety of med-surg and intermediate care cases.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association

Preferred:

• Previous nursing assistant or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program
• Certified nursing assistant certification

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift, 36 hours per week (3 shifts), 7a-7:30p, including every other weekend and holidays

Essential Functions:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care, including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and bedside care (bathing, mouth, and skin care)
• Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through proper practice, judgment, and critical actions
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding patient care
• Participate in the patient's care plan from admission to discharge for safe transition
