Job summary

Kindera Living in Toronto, Ontario, is hiring a Director of Care to lead nursing services in our long‑term care home. You will promote evidence‑based practices, oversee medication reconciliation, and mentor clinical staff to improve resident outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of LTC management, RN registration, PCC proficiency, and a collaborative leadership style with flexibility for days/evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario or an equivalent licensure
• Minimum of three years of managerial experience in a long-term care setting
• Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices and long-term care philosophies
• Proficiency with PCC and ability to mentor staff in clinical programs

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing philosophy alignment with goals and objectives in collaboration with the Director of Care
• Oversee care programs and services based on best practices
• Oversee medication reconciliation processes and promote safe medication practices
• Support recruitment, retention, and performance management of nursing staff
• Mentor and coach staff on clinical programs (skin care, falls prevention, pain management, infection control)
• Facilitate onboarding for registered staff and students and support new hires
