Job description

Take a leading role in the digital health transformation at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital as our Clinical Applications Specialist and Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator. This dynamic position empowers you to blend cutting-edge digital health applications with comprehensive training programs, transforming patient care and professional development. In this role you will:

  1. Lead informatics-enabled projects
  2. Identify, design, develop, test, implement, and evaluate informatics solutions, data structures, and decision mechanisms to support patients and healthcare professionals
  3. Serve as a subject matter expert on software/applications, advising stakeholders on their use and impact of changes
  4. Apply criteria for online educational content, ensuring high standards for eLearning design, branding, scholarship, and adult learning principles
  5. Develop, design, and deliver educational programs at all levels, including senior leadership
  6. Manage timelines and critical paths using knowledge of training technologies
  7. Develop evaluation criteria and regularly assess eLearning courses, recommending and implementing content modifications
  8. Conduct audits, generate reports, and coordinate data processing resources
  9. Collaborate with IS and eLearning support for LMS updates and system integrations, including UAT and user experience testing
  10. Support communication and training plans for eLearning, including training LMS administrators and end-users
  11. Troubleshoot and serve as a resource on eLearning technologies and techniques
  12. Perform other duties as required

Job Requirements:

Mandatory

  • University degree or college diploma in instructional design, adult education, or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in instructional and educational technology
  • Equivalent recent training and experience considered

Preferred

  • Background in nursing, health disciplines, or clinical informatics
  • Experience with Meditech (Client Server platform)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience converting curricula to eLearning
  • Knowledge of training technology such as Articulate Storyline, multimedia editors, LMS, web development
  • Proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Absorb LMS, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond is an asset
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours as needed
  • Satisfactory work performance and attendance history
