The Don Valley Animal Hospital has been serving the Don Mills community for over 35 years. We are located west of the D.V.P. on Lawrence Ave. E., across from the Shops on Don Mills. We pride ourselves on providing personal and professional care that clients should expect from a veterinary hospital. You will be greeted by our trained receptionist and work alongside Registered Veterinary Technicians who assist in caring for pets throughout appointments.

Our ideal Client Care Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions, and providing exceptional customer service. This involves greeting and checking-in clients warmly, receiving incoming calls from current and prospective clients with a courteous approach, screening calls, booking appointments, taking detailed messages, and providing knowledgeable non-medical information to clients.
Responsibilities also include performing various administrative tasks such as mail handling, drafting memos and correspondence, and completing reports. The role also involves veterinary assistant tasks, including counseling and educating clients under the direction of a Veterinarian or RVT on topics like medication dosages, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare. The candidate will collaborate with the team to suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing, and handle animals in a way that promotes a safe and secure environment.
