About The Role:
Our ideal Client Care Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include appropriately screening calls, booking appointments, taking detailed messages, and providing knowledgeable non-medical information to clients. Additional duties involve performing various administrative tasks such as handling mail (receiving, sorting, distributing, posting), drafting memos and correspondence, completing reports, and other ad-hoc document requests. The role also includes some veterinary assistant tasks, such as counselling and educating clients under the direction of a Veterinarian or RVT on topics like medication dosages, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare. The candidate will also collaborate with the team to suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing, and handle animals in a manner that promotes their safety and comfort.
