The Don Valley Animal Hospital has been serving the Don Mills community for over 35 years. We are located west of the D.V.P. on Lawrence Ave. E., across from the Shops on Don Mills. We pride ourselves on providing personal and professional care that clients expect from a veterinary hospital. Our staff includes trained receptionists and Registered Veterinary Technicians who assist in caring for pets during appointments. We offer a wide range of services including internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, as well as nutritional and behavioral services.

About The Role:

Our ideal Client Care Reception / Veterinary Assistant builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include greeting and checking-in clients warmly, handling incoming calls courteously, screening calls, booking appointments, taking detailed messages, and providing knowledgeable non-medical information to clients.

This role also involves performing administrative tasks such as managing mail, drafting memos, completing reports, and other document requests. Additionally, the candidate will assist with veterinary tasks, including counseling and educating clients on animal care, medication administration, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare under the supervision of a Veterinarian or RVT. They will also explain laboratory procedures and testing, and handle animals in a manner that ensures they feel safe and secure.
